「ZETag®」はボタン電池で駆動し、固有のID情報を自ら発信するアクティブ型のタグです。LPWA通信規格ZETA（※1）のプロトコルを使用しており、500～2,000m（通信環境や使用条件により増減）離れていても基地局との通信が可能です。従来のパッシブ型RFIDタグで必要とされていたリーダーでタグを読み取る作業やアンテナを内蔵したゲートの通過をすることなく、広い倉庫や屋外でパレットやカゴ車などの所在を自動で管理することが可能になります。「ZETagDRIVE™」は、基地局が検知した「ZETag®」からの情報を収集・記録・管理するクラウド型システムプラットフォームで、同時に100万個以上の「ZETag®」を管理することができます。　凸版印刷は、2021年10月より、「ZETag®」と「ZETagDRIVE™」に通信基地局を組み合わせた実証実験キットを提供開始します。　本製品は、2021年10月6日（水）から8日（金）に開催される「第23回 自動認識総合展」（会場：東京ビッグサイト）の凸版印刷ブース（南3・4ホール、小間番号A-51）に出展されます。また、10月11日（月）から11月10日（水）に開催されるオンライン展示会「TOPPAN Auto-ID 2021 秋」でも紹介されます。■ 開発の背景　物流・運送業界では、生産年齢人口の減少や少子高齢化、厳しい労働環境による担い手確保の難しさなどから労働力不足が社会問題化しています。また、新型コロナウイス感染症流行に伴う巣ごもり消費の拡大などによりネット通販のニーズが高まり、運搬物はさらに増える傾向にあります。　このような中、凸版印刷はアクティブタグ「ZETag®」とその管理システム「ZETagDRIVE™」で、パレットやカゴ車などの所在を自動で管理し可視化することにより、管理業務の負担軽減や円滑な荷役作業を実現するなど、物流の効率化を支援します。■「ZETag®」および「ZETagDRIVE™」の特長① 最長で約2,000mの長距離通信　LPWA通信規格ZETAのプロトコルを使用しており、500～2,000m（通信環境や使用条件により増減）離れていても基地局との通信が可能です。② 電波の減衰を防ぐ新設計のアンテナ搭載　スタッフ株式会社（本社：神奈川県横浜市、代表取締役社長：後藤 晃一）と共同開発し、新たに設計したアンテナを搭載しています。電波強度減衰の影響を受けやすい金属製の資材に取り付けても長距離通信を可能としました。③ 低消費電力　「ZETag®」は、ボタン電池で駆動します。本来ZETAは双方向での通信を特長としていますが、「ZETag®」ではタグから基地局への単方向通信に固定、さらに送信電波強度を10mWに設定しました。これにより消費電力を大幅に低減することが可能となり、30,000回以上の通信を実現します（620mAhの電池を使用時）。④ 100万個以上の大規模アクセスサポートを実現　物流用途では数万～数十万個の資材を同時に管理するシーンも想定されます。そのため、「ZETagDRIVE™」では分散アーキテクチャを採用することで、100万個以上の「ZETag®」の同時アクセスをサポートしています。
