"Laspie" or "Raspberry Pi" is a small board the size of a business card, with USB and HDMI output, cheap products that can be bought for about 5000 yen, Linux will also run, this is well-known hardware. From programming learning and small electronic work, to real home IT, is a wide range of applications of hardware. However, to try gum pie, in addition to preparing LCD and keyboard, you also need to prepare USB power (a smartphone charger with an output of about 2A is enough), body shell (nudity can also be used, but just in case) or something delicate.

The author of the relatively early investment once completely forgot the existence of the project, but at the beginning of November finally had a real opportunity! What can I get when I buy Pi-Top first? Let me summarize the basic specifications.

The special plastic shell made by injection molding is equipped with liquid crystal, battery, minimum input device, and special AC adapter, which can be used as a stand-alone notebook computer. You might think, "it's not a simple structure, it's just a set of necessary parts." Pi-Top has a special hub substrate, which can confirm the residual amount of power switches and battery units that do not exist in Tree frame 2. By the way, the color of the box can be chosen from gray or green in the user's vote.

Open the box and expose the roof first. Enter in a separate state in units of each part. The shipment came from China through FedEx, but the internal parts were not damaged and were in good condition.

The bottom section contains a dedicated battery unit with 58.1Wh capacity. Surprisingly, it is not easily built-in USB portable battery, it is a real unit. With SMBus interface, you can control the battery charge and so on.

The roof and LCD are integrated, so there is no need for delicate work. The LCD is not pulled into the HDMI of the tree pie 2, but the eDP connection. This also has the significance of reducing costs.

It also comes with a pre-installed wireless LAN decryptor (top) and a pi-top OS mini SD card (8 GB). However, the WLAN decryptor not only failed the technology, but also wasted a lot, so the Buffalo-made "WLI-UC-GNM" was used in the verification.

The central substrate is the core part of Pi-Top. In addition to the HDMI powered eDP conversion, it is also responsible for supplying power to the tree rack 2 host and battery unit from the AC adapter, as well as the connection of the power button and the power LED.

The structure of Pi-Top is very simple, but considering that it is like today's laptop, I will cry. Look at the contact of the parts and the terminal, and find out the feeling of the best point little by little. Because there is an illustrated explanatory book, it can be done even if you can't read English, especially if it is difficult to distinguish between the two kinds of screws. If the cable connecting the hub substrate and tree rack 2 is not concentrated on the upper side, the keyboard will float and so on, and some elements will have to be tried to know.

After merging the liquid crystal and the bottom part, install it into the hub substrate. The hub substrate and the battery are connected with small pins, but in order not to bend the pin, and to find where the substrate is tightly embedded, a little trial and error is needed. By the way, the cluttered parts in the box are Imo screws used to connect the liquid crystal hinge to the bottom part.

This tune also fixed the tree pie 2, but the fixing of the substrate is in the shape of a track like a photo and can be properly positioned.

Connect trestle 2 to the hub substrate by cable. The head pins used in electronic work with a tree frame are all connected to the hub substrate with a special cable. It seems that the functions of battery monitoring and LCD brightness adjustment are realized through this terminal.

Finally, the intermediate parts are embedded and inserted into the propylene panel. If you want to replace the SD card installed in the tree2 operating system, remove the panel and access it from this window.

The chip of Lazi Pai 2 generated a lot of heat, so I affixed a small radiator. Directly switched to something attached to the box used by Laspie 2. When using a wired LAN, pulling it directly from the hole on the right side of the main body is a heroic design.

Although the best wearing feeling of the intermediate parts is a little difficult, it is completed in less than an hour. By the way, the body (including gum pie 2) weighs about 1.5 kg.
