A cache is a set of temporary files that a program or website creates to improve performance the next time you use it. How to Clear Cache in Windows 11 Think of your computer as a storage area where you can quickly find the information you need. However, if it increases too much, it will put pressure on the storage, and if there are corrupted files in the cache, it may cause the application to malfunction. But don't worry. The cache can be cleared in less than a minute. In fact, it's a good idea to remove it from time to time. If you're using Windows 11, you might want to clear multiple types of caches. This guide will show you how to quickly clear cache in Windows 11.
Run Disk Cleanup
Windows has a built-in tool called Disk Cleanup that can delete several types of cache files. To launch Disk Cleanup, search for Disk Cleanup in the Start Menu and select "Best Match". There, select the disk drive whose cache you want to clear and click OK. Alternatively, right-click the disk drive in "This PC" and select "Properties". Click the "Disk Cleanup" button on the "General" tab of the Properties window that appears to launch Disk Cleanup. In the window that opens, select the Clean up system files button. The window disappears once, and a window for selecting "Files to delete" appears. Select all checkboxes, click OK, and select Delete Files to start deleting cache files. If you just installed Windows 11, you will also see Windows 10 in this section. If you don't need it, select the Windows 10 file as well.
