A vacuum former is a machine that presses a material such as plastic that has been softened by applying heat to a mold and sucks it in together with air to quickly adhere it and form it.

It is now possible to instantly reproduce professional-level molding and wrapping at home. In addition to customizing molds for confectionery, we can also create architectural models, prototypes, etc., from DIY beginners to expert levels. The plastic can be processed and molded into various shapes, so it looks like a product package (blister pack).

With a physical model as a 3D template, you can make a plastic mold in just seconds. Modeled objects made of paper clay and various familiar three-dimensional items can also be used.

You can easily duplicate the template by pouring concrete, plaster, resin, silicon, wax, etc. into the completed mold according to the purpose. It can also be applied to products that are hardened in molds such as jelly, chocolate, soap, and candles.

Just place a model made with a 3D printer and set a special plastic sheet. The sheet that has been softened by automatic heating is vacuum-formed to complete a mold that perfectly fits the mold of the model.

It is also possible to use the 3D printer model as the prototype and mass-produce the same product. It can be mass-produced more quickly than a 3D printer, and at a lower cost. If you pour chocolate, you can also make your own custom-made sweets.

FORMART has a built-in commercial grade vacuum pump. -90kPa to -10kPa (kilopascal) can be customized arbitrarily, and professional quality settings are also possible! (FORMART Lite does not have a built-in vacuum pump, so a connection to a vacuum cleaner or vacuum pump is required.) The front of the main unit has a large color liquid crystal display and dial buttons for easy operation. Just follow the instructions on the screen, even beginners can easily operate.

FORMART is equipped with 3 levels of suction power mode for beginners. Selectable from 3 levels of presets. There are three suction power modes: low/standard/high. No complicated settings required! Anyone can easily make a plastic mold. (FORMART Lite is equipped with a low/standard suction power mode.)

Since the applied pressure is different between low/standard/high, it is recommended to select according to the strength of the material. Please note that high pressure may crush molds that are not sufficiently hard (e.g. clay products).

It can be set arbitrarily within the range of -90kPa to -10kPa (kilopascal), so it is possible to set professional quality. A high power of up to -90 kPa (kilopascals), and even objects with large processing areas can be firmly pressed down to the details, so you can make perfect copies.

Equipped with a quartz carbon fiber heater. Heating speed is 3 times faster than other brand small vacuum forming machines. Since it can be heated up to 230 degrees, we have improved the product quality. It also has a preheating function, so various thermoplastic materials can be used. Among vacuum forming machines, it supports the largest number of materials.

"FORMART" uses an infrared temperature sensor to check the heating status of the plastic sheet, enabling more accurate temperature control. Therefore, the success rate of molding is high, and waste of materials can be reduced.

FORMART is equipped with an automatic plastic sheet identification system. When a dedicated plastic sheet with a QR code is placed in place, the QR code is read and the optimal parameters for molding are automatically set. Even for sheets made by other companies, you can simply select the material from the menu. You can select from 16 types of material data such as PET, HIPS (high impact polystyrene), and PP. FORMART Lite does not have an automatic plastic sheet identification system, but it also has parameters for thermoplastic materials, so if you choose the material of the sheet, it will automatically set the appropriate temperature etc.

"FORMART" achieves the largest molding area in the desktop vacuum former market. Multiple objects can be lined up and molded at the same time with a single press, which leads to more efficient production. In addition, the size of the molding bed can be adjusted according to needs from 4 stages (50cmx30cm, A3, 12"x12", A4). It can be used for a variety of purposes, from masks to miniatures. (FORMART Lite molding bed is A4 size only.)

After forming, 2 cooling fans are installed to quickly cool 360 degrees automatically. (FORMART Lite does not have a cooling fan. Task completion will be displayed on the LCD screen after natural cooling.)

When the mold is finished, the built-in directional control valve automatically reverses the mold. The sheet can be removed from the mold by blowing air from the bottom surface, making demolding quick and easy! It can greatly improve the speed of mass production. (FORMART Lite does not have an auxiliary release function.)

Safe because you don't have to touch the hot tray directly. This helps prevent burns or pinched fingers when checking molded products. Additionally, plastic sheets can be inserted without moving the mold.

"FORMART" and "FORMART Lite" are equipped with a unique moisture removal function. It is possible to automatically set the moisture removal parameters according to the type of plastic. We have achieved stable molding quality by drying the moisture that causes molding defects in the plastic sheet before molding. Therefore, air bubbles are less likely to occur when using plastic materials.

If a failure occurs, the failure part will be displayed on the screen. Due to its modular design, the faulty part can be easily removed and returned to the manufacturer.

FORMART can handle plastic materials with a thickness of 0.3m to 3.0mm. In addition, the following 4 types of plastic sheets are available. The manufacturer's plastic sheets are recyclable (tasteless, odorless, and nontoxic). A recycling mark is printed on the four corners to identify the material of the product more quickly during recycling. The plastic sheet uses a safe release agent for food that has cleared the Food Sanitation Act, so it is safe even if it adheres to food or containers.

Q: What materials can I use?

A: FORMART can handle plastic materials within the thickness range of 0.3m to 3.0mm. Parameters for PLA, FPC, TPU, PET, PETG, HIPS, PS, PE, HDPE, ABS, PP, PVC, PMMA, PC, KYDEX, and PSU are also included.

Q: What vacuum cleaners are compatible with FORMART Lite?

A: FORMART Lite can be connected to a paper pack vacuum cleaner. However, it is not compatible with vacuum cleaners equipped with brushless DC motors (e.g. Dyson vacuum cleaners).

Q: Objects printed with a 3D printer have poor heat resistance. Isn't that suitable for molds?

A: The plastic sheet used for molding is very thin and cools quickly, so it is difficult to damage the model during the molding process. In the case of ABS modeled objects, it is possible to copy about 30 to 50 times. In order to increase the heat resistance of the mold, we recommend pouring concrete or gypsum into the molded plastic mold to create a harder and more heat-resistant mold.

Q: Is there a size limit for the mold (original mold for molding)?

A: For FORMART, the maximum height is 16cm and the maximum size of the forming bed is 50cmx30cm. For FORMART Lite, the size of the molding bed is A4 size. If the height of the mold is high, a moderate aspect ratio is required.

Q: Do you have a Japanese manual?

A: Yes, we have attached a Japanese instruction manual.

Q: What about the product warranty?

* We offer a 2-year product warranty from the time the product arrives.
